FIRE WATCH SECURITY
Fire watch security in Prince George, documented while protection systems are offline.
TrustPoint provides trained personnel to conduct defined patrols, observe for signs of fire or unsafe conditions, maintain required logs, and follow site-specific notification and emergency procedures.

THE SERVICE
Fire watch security with serious responsibilities.
Fire watch may be required when a fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression system, or related protection measure is impaired or unavailable. The service must be built around the affected areas, hazards, occupancy, authority requirements, and restoration plan.
TrustPoint personnel follow written patrol routes and intervals, monitor for smoke, fire, unusual heat, odours, sparks, blocked exits, or other defined concerns, maintain logs, and act according to emergency procedures.
Before fire watch security begins, TrustPoint confirms the affected system, the areas requiring observation, the patrol interval, the reporting format, and the escalation contacts for the site. Personnel then follow the agreed route, record each round, and immediately report smoke, unusual heat, odours, sparks, blocked exits, or other concerns. Fire watch security coverage can continue while the protection system is inspected, repaired, or returned to service, based on the site’s written requirements. Property managers, contractors, industrial operators, and community organizations can request short-notice or scheduled coverage. To prepare an accurate fire watch security plan, provide the site address, operating hours, occupancy, access instructions, known hazards, and the expected duration of the outage.

Fire watch security requirements can vary by the affected system, occupancy, insurer, and authority having jurisdiction. The Province of British Columbia publishes current BC Fire Code information and revisions. TrustPoint uses the confirmed site instructions to define patrol routes, intervals, logs, escalation contacts, and when coverage ends.
